Move to Kanera

Change platforms without starting over.

Bring project data into Kanera, test one real workflow, and move at a pace that protects ongoing delivery.

Import from Trello
Bring boards, cards, members, fields, comments, and attachments into one Kanera workspace.

A migration path that fits the move.

Use the native Trello importer for a board, get help planning a wider rollout, or scope a custom migration from another system.

Guided team rollout

Choose a representative board, review the workspace structure, and prepare the first team before a wider move.

Custom migration

For Jira, ClickUp, Asana, monday.com, Notion, Linear, or internal systems, we first agree what can map and what needs separate treatment.

Test the move before the rollout.

Start with one real project. Your current system stays in place while the team checks the Kanera structure, imported data, permissions, and day-to-day workflow.

What carries over? Trello imports lists, labels, cards, mapped members, comments, custom fields, attachment links, and supported uploaded files when Trello is connected.

What if something does not map? Lists, labels, fields, and members can be created, mapped, or skipped. Archived lists are skipped by default.

Who verifies the result? Agree an owner for the pilot, review the imported board together, then decide what should move next.

How long does migration take?

A standard Trello board can usually be prepared and reviewed in less than 30 minutes. Larger moves should begin with one representative board so the structure and field mapping are confirmed before rollout.

For other platforms, we first review the source data and agree what should move before estimating the work. Board count, history, attachments, users, and custom fields all affect the plan.

Moving a team, not just a board?

For suitable company evaluations, we will review your current setup, identify a representative workflow, and help prepare the first Kanera workspace.

  • Board and workspace planning
  • List, status, and custom-field mapping
  • Member and guest planning
  • A representative pilot import
  • Rollout and verification recommendations
  • Scoped custom migration development

Migration questions, answered.

Can I try Kanera without leaving our current system?

Yes. Start with one representative project and run it alongside your current system while the team evaluates the result.

Is the Trello import a live sync?

No. It creates a one-time copy in Kanera. It does not change your Trello board, and later Trello changes are not synced.

Can I review a Trello import before data is created?

Yes. Kanera analyzes the export, lets you review list, label, field, and member mappings, then shows an import summary before confirmation.

Should we migrate everything?

Usually not at first. Begin with active work and one representative workflow. Review historical and archived material separately.

Can Kanera import from ClickUp, Jira, Asana, or another platform?

There is no native importer today. We can review the source structure, define what maps cleanly, and scope an API-assisted migration for suitable company evaluations.
